Why choose SLI230CR

Built for a defined industrial duty

Use SLI230CR to bring a 240 VAC field signal safely to a 24 VDC PLC input or similar low-current control load. Its defined switching thresholds and signal-side hysteresis help prevent electrical interference from becoming an unintended switching command.

Defined 160 / 120 VAC thresholds

Separate turn-on and turn-off levels provide predictable switching behaviour.

Only 1 µA leakage

A clearly specified low off-state current on the PLC-input side.

No minimum load

The solid-state output works from 0 to 50 mA and 0 to 60 VDC.

Pulse-transformer isolation

4,600 VAC RMS / 1 s test voltage between field and controller sides.

Application guidance

Use it where its strengths matter

Suitable applications

  • 240 VAC field signals to PLC or DCS inputs
  • Low-current 24 VDC control inputs
  • Industrial panels requiring galvanic field/controller isolation
  • Applications needing defined switch-on and switch-off thresholds

Check before selection

  • Maximum load current is 50 mA; this relay is intended for PLC inputs and similar low-current loads.
  • If switching an inductive load, install a clamp diode across the load as required by the datasheet.
  • Verify the actual field voltage against the 160 VAC turn-on and 120 VAC turn-off thresholds.
  • Apply thermal derating and horizontal-mounting guidance for dense installations.
Delcon design advantage: the control command crosses a pulse-transformer isolation barrier. The model-specific solid-state output stage is then selected for the actual AC, DC or PLC-input duty. See how the technology works →

Frequently asked questions

SLI230CR selection basics

What does SLI230CR connect?

It accepts a nominal 240 VAC field signal and provides a solid-state DC output intended for PLC inputs and similar loads.

Why are separate switching thresholds useful?

The relay turns on at 160 VAC and turns off at 120 VAC. This hysteresis provides a defined state change instead of a single ambiguous switching point.

What is the off-state leakage current?

The specified output leakage current is 1 µA. Always confirm that value against the PLC input requirements.

Can it drive an inductive load?

It is intended for PLC inputs and similar loads. If an inductive load is used, the datasheet requires a clamp diode across the load.
