Sustainability
Long product lifetimes, responsible supplier management, and manufacturing in Finland in compliance with EU and Finnish environmental regulation.
Sustainability at Delcon
Our approach to sustainability rests on three pillars: long product lifetime, responsible supplier management, and manufacturing in Finland. We design and manufacture solid-state relays for a long service life — because the longer a relay lasts, the less often it needs to be replaced, and the fewer resources are consumed over the lifetime of an automation system.

Pillar 1 — Longevity
One of the most effective ways to reduce the material and waste impact of industrial electronics is to extend product lifetime. Delcon relays are designed for a long service life: the solid-state design has no mechanical contacts to wear out, and our relays are designed to perform millions of switching operations in demanding industrial conditions. Fewer premature replacements also mean less downtime and less maintenance work in the field.
10-Year Warranty
Every Delcon relay is covered by a 10-year warranty — a concrete commitment to long product life.
Reduced Need for Replacements
A long service life reduces the need for spare parts and premature replacements compared with components that wear out faster — which can help reduce electronic waste over time.
Pillar 2 — Made in Finland
All Delcon relays are designed and manufactured in Finland. Manufacturing locally allows us to control quality directly and to operate under EU and Finnish environmental legislation:
Regulatory Compliance
Our operations and products comply with applicable EU and Finnish environmental, chemical (REACH/RoHS) and waste management requirements.
Energy Use in Production
Our production runs on electricity from the Finnish grid, in which the share of fossil-free generation is high.
Local Subcontractor Network
We work with a network of Finnish subcontractors located close to our factory. Short transport distances help limit transport-related emissions, and working locally supports direct oversight of quality and working conditions.
Pillar 3 — Sourcing
The quality and responsibility of a product also depend on its inputs. Delcon sources electronic components from established suppliers, and we set expectations for our suppliers on legal compliance, labour practices and responsible sourcing in the Delcon Code of Conduct.

Our promise
Choosing Delcon is an investment in operational uptime and long product life. Relays that stay in service for decades need fewer replacements, fewer spare parts and less maintenance — supporting resource-efficient industrial automation. That is the core of our contribution: products designed to last, manufactured in Finland, and backed by a 10-year warranty.
